Old-school Elder Scrolls
Previous | Next by pyrex 15 April, 2004 - 2:15 PM

W00t! To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Elder Scrolls series (Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind et al.), Bethesda Softworks are offering the first game in the series, Arena, as a free download. Whee!

More info right here.

Hope your computer can take the heat! System requirements:

386/25 MHZ, DOS 5.0, 4MB RAM, 25MB HD Space, VGA graphics card, Mouse, Soundcard (Ensoniq, Aria, Roland, SoundBlaster, Ultrasound).

Omgwtf, 25 megs, but that means King's Quest 3 will have to go! No! Hehe.

Speaking of which, if you're interested in more old-school gaming, these guys are worth checking out. They've converted King's Quest 1 & 2 into VGA games, with voices and other additions. Also, currently in their development cycle is Quest for Glory II VGA. Woo.
