If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like if the best new wave band of all time spilled all over the mouseketeers (lord knows it’s all I’ve ever wanted, hehe) – Devo 2.0 is the answer.

The gods of dork put out an album with the lyrics sung – and slightly reworked (now it's, "the boy you want", "you've got a thumpin' bumpin' bassline"), – by kids aged 10 to 13 (I’m Nathan! I’m Michael! I’m Nicole!, and so forth). It’s still fantastic, but the whole time I’m listening to this, I’m seeing kids running around the sit of a Disney show. It is definitely bringing back my 80s, but it’s slightly disturbing at the same time. Not that the 80s weren’t disturbing for me, just in a less teeny-bopper way. Devo is still in here, it's just a little harder to find.

i'd say it gets a 6... 10 for the Devoness of it, -4 for the Disneyness of it. I'd complain more, but they still sing it better than I would.

You got your Devo all over my Disney! You got your Disney all in my Devo!
