Previous | Next by ben 06 February, 2003 - 2:00 AM

i had coffee with my friend maeli (oldest friend in the world, since i was 7), and next door was a barnes and noble... and since our CTY days, she and i have always loved going to bookstores (comes from being at the hopkins bookstore all the time for a few years i think) together, so we were shopping at the b&n next to the coffee shop, and i picked up an e. gorre (sp?) book and a japanese art book for my parents, and 2000 obscure and tough words book for myself, and norah jones on cd (first bought cd in a long time)...

and we spent 2 hours there... i love bookstores... we like a lot of the same books to, so that's handy

i forget what my point is, but the music's over, i'm going home

yeah, that's the guy... he also did the illustration for "a very fine clock" (an oldold book my brother has) and mystery on pbs (though I don't think he did it specifically _for_ them... but you know what I mean... knaamean?)

I found the best bookstore ever in Frederick. It's in a plaza and looks extremely cheesy from the outside (called Wonder Books) but they are huge and sell new and used books as well as cds and videos and they have everything! it's like a library! I can and have spent hours there, and I highly recommend it if you are a booklover. You can give a used book a new home, and there's just something about reading a book someone else has already loved. (also, I should note this bookstore has been rated by USAToday as one of the top ten in America. who would have guessed!) And they give you a free book with every book purchase. best store ever!
