i went to the very-unorganized-there-is-no-permit-anti-war-protest in B-more that met down @ Camden Yards. I was very nice about 300 people showed up including a guy i worked with,(who told me about the protest in the first place), his wife, 2 little munchkins, and his dog . we went from there to city hall then over to St. Vincent's church near the main post office. we took up the right lane of traffic in front of the convention center as there were too many of us to march on the sidewalk alone, then crossed in front of the inner harbor plazas up gay street to city hall. We got a lot of supportive honks and yells. Although there were the usual dissenters, one passing in a car covered w/NASCAR stickers, and then another dude in a shiny new truck. The best moment had to be when we crossed Lombard going north and got honks and waves from a city garbage truck - everybody liked that. no cop interference to speak of. as a matter of fact a cop car blocked the southbound lane of 83 so we could cross. pretty neat.
