vergil's brother's sleeping on the couch upstairs, so i can't get to the cleaning of that part yet... so...
what's been going on around the 'net while i've been so busy? did google & amazon get married yet? has apple spawned another bastard child (that reminds me, funny story below, read on...)? will phantom EVER release a game console?
anywho, i'm sorry i've neglected you all so much... but i promise, now that asp.net 2.0 is out, i can make a whole fantastic new site, and i WILL!

from the "you can't make this stuff up" department on digg - Overstock.com's CEO is weird as hell, talking about dead bodies and basically scaring his stockholders half to death.
i would love to head up Walmart and do this, hahahahaha

Things are getting a bit dead again! Let's not let that happen.
What is everyone doing for New Year's Eve (besides Ben, 'cause we know about your party already)?

Digg.com sucks. My main complaint is that it is filled with stupid people. I posted Rich's link below to digg, and so far it has one digg (by me), whereas a snake getting caught in a spider web (the next entry) has three diggs.
Digg the hell out of it.

Thomson Prometric Sucks
I would like to detail the horrible customer service experience that I have had attempting to take Microsoft MCSE exams. I think I have made reasonable efforts to correct this situation and I am extremely frustrated by an obnoxiously anemic bureaucracy at the offices of Thomson-Prometric. This website is a result of that frustration. If you are from Thomson-Prometric and reading this site, my name is Richard Matthews. In addition to my $500 you have my phone number in your database, give me a call.

This is a pretty cool service. It was able to track me down to city level using my IP. Apparetly once they start feeding in data with the GPS locations for all known access points and cell towers. It will do a much better job.

CNN.com has launched a new service called CNN Pipeline. I have waited a long time for something like this. What a beautiful concept. On-demand, low-cost, commercial-free, online news. Four simultaneous video streams, three of which are unedited. It is $25 for a whole year. I will be signing up for this when I get home, especially since it has a free trial.
I have always thought that our high-speed Internet connections weren't really being utilized. But now we're getting there. I think we're really seeing the beginning of something big here. If I could get this kind of service for other shows, I would be all over it.

Has anyone ever had any experience in employing a personal assistant, or maybe more accurately, an "errand bitch"?
I was just thinking about how awesome it would be to hire someone for maybe four hours every week or two, for about $12-15/hour. I'd want basic stuff done like ship stuff I sold on eBay, buy random shit at random stores that I need, and make reservations or appointments for me.
Thoughts? Questions? Complaints?

Everyone should know that the house is having its annual holiday party on December 17th.
Please let Penn, Dan or I know if you are coming and how many people you are bringing, because we need to know many people we should be accomodating for.
There will likely be at least 1 keg (possibly 2 depending on expected turnout.) You may want to bring some extra beer if your tastes are too exquisite for cheap keg beer.
So write it down, December 17th. Come over anytime in the evening.

Ripped from my blog:
Today, it was announced that Wikipedia is restricting article creation to registered users only. Many might choose to argue one position or the other on this issue. I happen to not feel strongly either way. However, I find the process by which it was decided to be questionable.

I need to find a room to rent hopefully by Mid January at the latest. Maybe somebody has something or knows someone, please let me know. I’m looking to live in Baltimore or East Baltimore County. I would even go as far north as Towson and as far east as BelAir. So if anybody can help me out feel free to email me at Pjkovach900@yahoo.com.
Thanks
Peter Kovach
