Superman Returns was perfect.
It was fun. It was an adventure. It had its awesome action scenes. It had its funny campy scenes. It had tributes to those that came before. It had its imperfections.
Superman Returns was perfect.

has anyone else started using it? The first thing i've noticed is that OTB it has a LOT more screen real estate devoted to your page. This is easily "remedied" by putting in the other toolbars, status bar, personal bar etc., but right away, it only has your tab bar and your address bar (which, of course, also has your dropdown search bar).

I've noticed that, in addition to here, i have a lot of sites/homepages/email addresses/what have you that i use or have used... here is a list of the ones i can remember, in no particular order. one might ask, why so many? well, i have been thinking about that, and the truth is... i don't know. why do we feel the need to have all of these networking sites? which ones do you use most? which ones do you hate, and why?

I am about to move, and have decided that my server is just too much. With Electric costs going up, and a mortgage, and needing to buy furniture etc, I thought the best course of action was to sell this beast. It runs fine, but doesn't do very much for me. I've been using it as a file server, and to record TV, but lately haven't even had it turned on unless I want to get something from the RAID.
Specs:
Dual Opteron 246's w/ Zalman CNPS7000B-ALCU 92mm Coolers
Tyan S2892G3NR Motherboard (3 PCI-X, 1 PCI, 2 PCI-E, 2 Gig Nic, 1 100mb Nic, onboard SATA RAID)
Two G.Skill 1GB DDR Chips
Enermax EG651P-VE 550W PSU
Lain Li Server Case
(You can look all of these up on newegg etc)
You can view pictures of it here: http://gerdalti.googlepages.com/serverforsale
Please note that none of the drives come with this, I will be downgrading to a smaller server, and putting the RAID card and drive enclosure in it.
I don't actually know what price I want to sell this for. I would like to get about $800 for it, but make me an offer and we'll see what we can do.

We have been looking into replacing our graphics workstations here at work. THey won't let us get macs...I guess they had bad experiences with them like ten years ago or whatever so our options are already limited to a PC.
Here is the spec of the computer system we really would like to have...it wou8ld be able to handle TV/HD/Video Editing such as AVID, After Effects, and Photoshop...but like in a kick ass type of way. Even though this is a british company it was rated highest by DIGIT magazine and just made us all drool.

A couple of people here yelled at me for not telling them about the deal I got when I bought my sexy remote. Well it's not as good a deal as I got it for, but right now Dell has the Logitech Harmony 880 for $109 after a $20 mail-in rebate. Coupon codes and rebate info are on slickdeals.net.
For those with an unhealthy aversion to Dell, you can get it for a little over $50 more.
I've been using this thing for several months now and after getting everything programmed just how I want it, I absolutely love it. Highly recommended for anyone currently dealing with more than two remotes.

I recently started getting emails from Motley Fool - an investment advisory site, and got a link to this article urging you to sell Home Depot stock, because of the poor way the board treats investors.
I like the principle of the argument a lot, however with mega corporations like this, i'm afraid it's going to be a trend that grows, not lessens.

I've been studying my ass off for the CCNA...the exam is in two days. As I study, I run across technologies and terminology that piques my interest. It is remarkably difficult to find more information on some of these technologies.
So my question to you all is: How much does an OC-1 or an OC-3 cost?

peter told me about the raid on the pirate bay yesterday, making us wonder if they drew the fate on themselves, and spawning of course all kinds of bad descriptions, and i kind of wished at that time that i knew of a way to quickly shut my computer down remotely (like, push a button). well, today i found it with GoogleMail Remote Control, though i'm a little leery of installing strange software now... even though i have NOD 32 running (see my previous post). but i'll probably install it an play with it anyway, and just hope no one guesses my gmail password and starts messing with my computer, hehe.
anyhow, there's also a new link-o-matic, thanks to peter as well, to tunak!... that's a weird ass video... it's even spawned a fan vid: tuneka!
