In honor of moving my records & turntables downstairs (see my flickr badge over there to get to my pics of this), and more in honor of Ann & her sister painting our dining room, I recorded a new mix - The Dining Room. This was a first pass, and I'm a little bit rusty on my own CDJs , so there are a couple of mixes that I missed a little bit, but overall, I like it... enjoy!

I love the wonderful feeling I get from driving to the recycling center. Nothing warms my heart more then when I remove a duck from that plastic that holds my beer together. NPR can afford Carl Kasell's massive salary because of my kind donations. Yes I'm a good Liberal... But I fucking HATE organic peanut Butter, its heinous.... and yes heinous rhymes with anus.

So, about 6 months ago, Ann and another couple and I went to Kali's Court for dinner, enjoying the warm weather and sitting next to the window upstairs... about 1/2 way through dinner, there was some commotion outside, and then a group of about 10 or so people started chanting and yelling. To us it sounded like "how many ducks have you breast fed today?" and "foie gras, rock and roll!"

went to Body & Soul last night - that was pretty fantastic... 3 amazing guys on the decks, keeping the dancefloor going, and it was pretty awesome experience, seeing so many old heads out for this night, hearing some fantastic music, and generally being wowed by how little the paradox has changed in 8 years... my legs are wrecked, i'm tired as hell, and a tiny bit hungover still, but i'm pretty damn happy. I'd like to DJ in a club with sound like that, just 1 time... also... this

So I've had this plan for a major overhaul to one of my projects for a while now. But I haven't implemented it because the data structure is kind of wacky. Now of course it doesn't have to be STORED the way its displayed to the user, I know that. But I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around the best way to structure the data in a database.

well, since i got the new TV, i've been thinking about my media options, and i think i've settled on it. It became clear to me that spending $300 (or more!) on a game system isn't going to make me play more games than i do now... so instead, i should focus on what I DO enjoy now, which is watching movies and TV shows. So, here's what i plan to do...
