Candidate Paul assigns reading to Giuliani
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Longshot Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul on Thursday gave front-runner Rudy Giuliani a list of foreign-policy books to back up his contention that attacks by Islamic militants are fueled by the U.S. presence in the Middle East.
"I'm giving Mr. Giuliani a reading assignment," the nine-term Texas congressman said as he stood behind a stack of books that included the report by the commission that examined the attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001.
...
A Giuliani campaign official could not confirm whether he had read any of the books on Paul's list.

Maybe I'm spoiled, but at Bally, I got REALLY used to developing with three monitors. It is INFINITELY more efficient than one and still a whole lot better than two.
Email, IM, RSS, and other automatically-updated info apps go in a nice static layout on one monitor. Visual Studio goes on another monitor, and a web browser or two for testing / viewing your output goes on the third monitor. When needed, requirements are either printed or go on monitor one on top of email and all that other stuff.

So you may have read that one of the first things Pie and I did on our honeymoon was buy a new computer. You may have also read that this new computer can preinstalled with Vista Home Premium. I had always said that I wasn't going to run Vista until I purchased a new computer and could no longer get XP on it. Looks like that happened a lot sooner than I had originally expected.

This story is about a young dog, let's call him Spike, and how his mommy and daddy got a divorce approximately 9 years ago, when he was 4 years old, and he was spitefully dropped off at the SPCA in retaliation by the daddy in order to break the mommy's heart.

Planning for movie making...it will be a serious comedy involving awkwardness and elevators. One day, I will meet the people who will help me make this happen and then I will have to pay them. That's probably why I haven't met them yet. I lack budget and have little to no knowledge of the workings of the local or national or global film industry, but I do know a thing or two about communicating good. with people.?
So there you have it. I've just exposed one of my plans to further ensconce myself into the world of the arts, thereby gaining Baltimore the national attention that it needs in order to begin moving out of the fucking gutter and at least onto the curb for now.
If you look at the Wikipedia article on "world city" or "global city", you will see that the authors of the entry have put forth that there is only minimal evidence of world city formation here in Baltimore and that muh friends is not acceptable to me, but not to worry because there's a thing called global consciousness and there's also a thing called human consciousness or simply consciousness and it is through the use of imagery...meaningful imagery that a human mind can be shaped and motivated and / or demotivated. The global mind can be manipulated similarly by using the networks where minds turn to find meaning, ie the media.
But of course, public image can only get a city so far. Actual production must occur for this city to have a substantial position in the arena of the global cities. I am talking about industry, fools! (note to the reader: not you. i don't think you're a fool) and education, but that takes communication and Baltimoreans are not so good at talking with each other or sitting in the same room with each other.
Can we work together and extend our sphere of mutherfukking influence? I think so. I know so... for it has been shown to me.

Will you drop a passion loaf in my mouth? Will you passionately await the next prophet? Will you create a sandwich that only Leonardo da Vinci could picture in his dreams? I implore you to be elegant yet sacrificial. You need to be in touch with your inner lust. You lust for other men as Derek from the Eagle does and that is a true accomplishment. Derek is your bretheren yet you must make love to his fanny. Respect his needs and more importantly, respect his wants. He wants to put you in a mental bear trap. On the other hand, Machias wants to put you in a physical bear trap. I want to rescue you from both traps and prove, once and for all, that you are a loyal pet to me. After I free your mind, body, and soul, I will bathe you in exotic excrement from all over Delaware. We will drink from the fountains of Dundalk. We will feast on the meat of cougar and elk alike. Just like Grandpa Simpson, my first night at Shorty's started with me falling down. Well, sort of... As I was coming in, and getting ready to set up for the night, I noticed that there was still a lot of beer on the refrigerator units, not yet put away. This makes it difficult to get to the DJ area, it's a small opening, so I stepped wide to try to get through without breaking bottles... of course, what I forgot is that "wide" means stepping over the trap door - which, of course, was open. So, down I went, CDJ and Records over one shoulder, left leg in mid-air, right leg sprawled out and left arm tossed in front are ALL that's keeping me from falling all the way through... Yeah, it must have looked pretty funny from some angle, but KNABE (german - boy) that hurts!
Luckily, things settled down again for a while - until the 5 alarm fire that broke out a block away... trucks and ambulances blaring over Coop's set... though he was a trooper and never dropped a mix the whole time. Again, things settled down, and a few of the rubberneckers even came in for a few drinks, which was very cool. I finally got out of Shorty's at 3:30, after talking with a fireman that was the spitting image of Jack McGee from Rescue Me and gave me permission to drive over the sidewalk (yeehaw!), and I was home by 3:30...

For some time now it's been exile in Guyville for me: my friends are boys, %99.9 of the way around the block and that's the way it frikin is. It was neither here or there for quite awhile, I was perfectly happy to have good friends regardless of their gender, but now I am seeing some definite benefits of having all these boys around.

I like this place. I check in from time to time and read some posts and occasionally post a topic. I would like to get to know you all. Here's some stuff about me. I feel like I am on the edge of something great...perhaps another great set by DJ Walking Stick (aka Ben)...I'm sure that's part of it. I would like to be able to continue to observe and enrich Baltimore's arts and culture scene. ENTER: The World Artist Network, which started almost 2 years ago as a group of artists meeting on MySpace.com...Now we're operating a gallery in Baltimore and we have an online magazine that comes out monthly to show off our artists. World Artist Network is important to me. Here is issue 5 of the WAN Magazine. (Note: WAN in this case does not mean wide area network.) -- http://www.worldartistnetworkmagazine.com -- Let me know if you have any ideas for this production. The next issue will be out June 1, 2007.

Last year the Military Commissions Act effectively removed the writ of habeas corpus from the US Constitution. I don't care where you fall on the political scale, this is a very, very bad thing. There's a chance right now to restore it by having it added to a Defense Dept Authorization Bill. But you need to contact your representatives and let them now that restoring one of the founding principles of freedom is important. They're not really good with knowing these things on their own.

Well, it's been a while, for me at least, since I've been out in the woods for more than a night or two, and I feel it's time to remedy that. I've brought this up to several people, and gotten slightly more than tepid replies, so I figure it's time to start setting this out, before social butterflies like Ralph already book their weekends... so here we go:
Who: Me, you and whomever else is interested.
What: Camping & Hiking
Where: At the moment I'm leaning towards Seneca Lake, though Sodus Point also has a draw for me (I've been to both, long ago), they're both in my homeworld of Upstate New York.
When: Either around the weekend of the 24th of August or the 31st of August.
Why: because it's camping, and camping is fun!
How: Planes, Trains and Automobiles, my friend.
We can use this post to hash out more concrete information... so far i've found Seneca Lake State Park, though they don't mention size, or hiking options, and Cayuga Lake state park as well, where those inclined can possibly fish... maybe?

for the realtor and mortgage folks that is. Mr's Anarchy and I have decided that we need more land to serve as a defense buffer in the event of a full scale zombie attack and have put an offer in on a 4 acre spread in Worthington valley. Should be just enough space to be self sustainable with TSHTF.

There are two issues that are top on my list for things that need changing. The Iraq War (let's get the hell out of there) and global warming. As I walk through the city streets almost every day, rarely do I see anything being done by ordinary citizens on either of these two issues. How are things going to change if we don't make them change?

Decision time: do something passivley entertaining (movie, TV, etc) or do something actively entertaining (games, nookie, etc)

I love it when you are getting beat down by inertia, and one day does everything to change that... Today I got my oil changed, my new tires put on and my old ones balanced, i went to the phone shop while i waited for that and got my phone to get online (can browse here!), paid my bills and i'm looking to do laundry for the first time in 3 weeks tonight (i'm down to just dress clothes now...)
