A long time ago, in a company far, far away (ok, not really, more like, 6 miles from where I am right now), I met this guy who kicked everyone's ass at a game he had just installed and played for the first time 5 minutes beforehand. Eventually he invited me on this seasonal trip to Atlantic City with a guy who would become my roommate, but that's not important. After that, he wanted someone to talk to about at least some of the dozens of comics he reads every week, so he suckered me into reading Preacher. One thing led to another, and I've been reading Jack of Fables, a spinoff of the original fables series, but much funnier. Some of the funniest things are the many stories that a recently shrunk Babe The Blue Ox make up... so I blame Jamie for me sharing these...

So apparently, on May 5, someone else made a similar feature request, which may or may not be the reason that when I added the middle frame URL (Blatherings) to my Google Reader list, it readily accepted it as a legit feed.

Why isn't anything on the Features link? Why doesn't Jamie Wood return my emails?

I've been asked this question many times in the last few years. Apparently the awesomeness that is us and EA makes people think I am their expert... and I'm ok with that, except I'm also very lazy, so this is the place where I'll list out what I tell everyone who asks me, so I don't have to do it again...

how avid Wikipedians fail to get when a joke is aimed at them…
today's XKCD
spawned
the wikipedia article about the word
and of course the
subsequent discussion about the merits of the redirect
at no time do the people who take the time to “discuss” the article mention whether or not they noticed that it is they who are the butt of the joke...

As many of you know, there's a website called Hulu out there now clogging up the tubes with hundreds of thousands of hours of television and movies. So because of it, in the last few years, I've watched approximately 1000% more television than I used to.
One thing that I've noticed many times is that any time a show can deal with science, it goes down two paths... there's the path like Regenesis where they pretty heavily research whatever they're broadcasting, or there's a show like FlashForward, which puts forth such myths as the 10% myth (which i know i've talked about here before), or take a kernel of truth like conservation of energy, and turn that into ridiculous lines like "when one life begins, another has to end... it's the way of the universe." despite the blatant fact that in the last 30 years, our population has grown by over a billion people.

I'm sure you've all seen
Step 1:
Step 2: ???
Step 3: $$$
right?
well, if you want to figure out step 2... here are the 48 laws of power, if you follow those, i'm sure you'll get to step 3 in no time... hehehe

You should sign up for 1 Block off the Grid here - they are working on getting cities cheaper solar power, based on input!
