So Penn and I just realized we have very old twitter accounts we never ever used. Since every other Article on my RSS feeds is about twitter lately (I'm looking at you TechCrunch), I figured I'd give it a go. While it's very interesting seeing what Penn has to say every so often, can you guys recommend things/companies/people to follow that might be fun?

Start -> Run -> telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl
I'm not sure how many connections it can handle at once, but some poor bastard took a LOT of time making this. I only made it 12 minutes in until I was out of free time, maybe you can last longer.

I am about to move, and have decided that my server is just too much. With Electric costs going up, and a mortgage, and needing to buy furniture etc, I thought the best course of action was to sell this beast. It runs fine, but doesn't do very much for me. I've been using it as a file server, and to record TV, but lately haven't even had it turned on unless I want to get something from the RAID.
Specs:
Dual Opteron 246's w/ Zalman CNPS7000B-ALCU 92mm Coolers
Tyan S2892G3NR Motherboard (3 PCI-X, 1 PCI, 2 PCI-E, 2 Gig Nic, 1 100mb Nic, onboard SATA RAID)
Two G.Skill 1GB DDR Chips
Enermax EG651P-VE 550W PSU
Lain Li Server Case
(You can look all of these up on newegg etc)
You can view pictures of it here: http://gerdalti.googlepages.com/serverforsale
Please note that none of the drives come with this, I will be downgrading to a smaller server, and putting the RAID card and drive enclosure in it.
I don't actually know what price I want to sell this for. I would like to get about $800 for it, but make me an offer and we'll see what we can do.

Everyone should know that the house is having its annual holiday party on December 17th.
Please let Penn, Dan or I know if you are coming and how many people you are bringing, because we need to know many people we should be accomodating for.
There will likely be at least 1 keg (possibly 2 depending on expected turnout.) You may want to bring some extra beer if your tastes are too exquisite for cheap keg beer.
So write it down, December 17th. Come over anytime in the evening.

Try this for some time wasting.
It takes 20 images from googles image search, you have to guess the word that pulled the images.

And Shawn, I'm looking in your direction.
I'm collecting the orange Mountain Dew caps once again. Probably only for another 2 weeks though. So if you have a bunch of Mt. Dew bottles laying in the back seat of your car like you should, save those orange caps for me, and bring them to Poker which you should attend Weekly (thursdays). If you need directions or times for poker, ask away.

Penn, Dan, CJ and Myself are throwing a party on Saturday Evening. Arrival time is 7-8PM and as usual it will go until the last person passes out. We should have 1 Full Keg (Bud Light...yuck), and probably some other beer, but feel free to (please) bring your own too (or to share). Some people will be bringing some munchie type foods, feel free to do the same.
Address is:
7941 Bent Bough Road
Severn MD 21144
Drop me an email with any questions. Email in my profile.
PS: Happy Birthday again Ben. And thanks for lending me $10 on your birthday.

Theres not even a computer case involved in this one. This is up for sale, and it looks like $250 is the current bid. It's for sale on the www.somethingawful.com forums, and you have to be a member to even view it, I am and if your truly interested could work with you.
Heres all the pics, and the txt file has the description.

It's a pretty nice little image management tool. Sort of has an OS X feel to it (at least to me).
Get it here:

Just thought some people might be interested in $100 250gig IBM Drives. Hitachi Drives are IBM Drives.

Its a shame I spent $140 on a Maxtor 250gig drive 2 weeks ago.

I've been getting my cigs from a website lately (for 4 months). I don't know how many of you are smokers, but at $13 or $14 a carton, if you smoke, you know thats extremely cheap. They come from Switzerland, and carry all major brands and types. I have been smoking the Euro-Camel Lights. They are smoother than the US ones, and have half the tar (all info you can find on the site itself). The carry Euro-brands and US-brands. I just want to share the love. (They have cigars and wine too)

I don't know about you all, but I drink a helluva lotta Dew. So I'm trying to collect Dew points. If you're just throwing those little orange caps out, why not hook me up with the code instead?
Feel free to email it to me. All points are greatly appreciated.

No Joke...My therapist is trying to prove to me that I need to go back to school, and he asked me to talk to a bunch of computer people and find out information about their careers. Well being a computer person, like most computer people, we aren't very social, so I tossed together an online survey....if you are in a computer related field could you PLEASE fill this out for me.
I Promise and Swear etc, to not use this information for any reason other than to realize that I need an education.

DamnThatsCool.com has suffered some downtime today, and it's my fault. Sorry about that. I've been working on getting ben and myself proper ftp access to this server...and bulletproof ftp seems to crash the crap out of it after about 3 hours. I've restructured with IIS, hopefully it will be stable now.
This post is partly to make sure it still works...
Has the delete function always kicked an error back?
